The Kalispel Natural Resources Department  strives to provide Tribal members with an opportunity to engage in the same cultural practices as their ancestors, including the sustainable harvest of native fish like bull trout, westslope cutthroat trout, and mountain whitefish.

KNRD's success in preserving, restoring, and enhancing the ecosystems within the Tribe's aboriginal lands depends on its ability to work effectively with other agencies, landowners, and other key stakeholders. A Tribal elder coined the term "collaborative sufficiency" to describe this method of engagement, and this is what KNRD strives to create with its diverse conservation partnerships.

Our goal is to maintain a culture of pride and excellence through providing great jobs, a positive work environment, and the tools you need to meet your personal and professional goals.
